Chicken broth is one of my favorite snacks to have. Its an easy, fast, and tasty way to get through your day without feeling guilty about what you’re eating. Broth has a variety of different health benefits and many reasons as to why you should consume it on a daily basis. The richness in flavor is hard to pass up on; it’s especially popular among young ones who are sick and despise taking medicine!
Reasons Why I drink Bone Broth:
- Cure for your soul: When I get sick, whether its the full-blown flu or just a mediocre cough, broth is my best friend. It soothes the nastiest of sore throats and relieves the muggy, suffocating feeling of a stuffed nose. The warmth of the broth and the abundance of vitamins and minerals help you gain your strength back. You definitely feel a difference by the end of the day.
- During the day, if I haven’t had a decent sized meal and I want a quick fix, but nothing too heavy to replenish lost vitamins, I gulp down a large glass of broth. This works for me even at the end of a long day where I might have actually skipped a meal.
- To continue that thought, it’s a very frugal meal to have, especially for you college students on a budget. You can get an immense amount of flavor and stock up on your vitamins in a minimal way.
- It’s said that women’s bone density gets weaker as we get older much faster than man’s. Broth is one way I help fight osteoporosis and great ammunition to limiting bone loss in the future.
